Maine x The Grateful Dead Illustration + Apparel Design - 2026

This project merges the visual identity of the University of Maine with the psychedelic, hand-drawn spirit of vintage Grateful Dead artwork. Pulling from retro Black Bears logos and archival Dead-inspired graphics, I explored how to reinterpret familiar elements into something original and personal. Beyond the artwork itself, the process became a hands-on learning experience in production. Testing DTG, DTF, and screen printing methods, and refining files through multiple iterations to achieve the best result. It was a back-and-forth process driven by curiosity and feedback, ultimately creating something thoughtful and wearable for friends and family while expanding my understanding of design for print.

Maine Day Apparel Design - 2026

This project was an exploration into color halftones, bitmap imagery, and how layered graphics translate onto apparel. Designed for Maine Day, the piece became a chance to experiment with texture, separation, and print treatment while learning how small technical adjustments can completely change the final result on fabric. Working through halftone radius, contrast, and overall legibility helped reinforce how much attention to detail matters when creating graphics intended for clothing rather than screens.

Peanuts x The Grateful Dead Illustration + Apparel Design - 2026

This project brings together two of my longtime creative obsessions: Snoopy (and Woodstock) and the raw, hand-drawn energy of vintage Grateful Dead artwork. I’ve always been drawn to Snoopy’s expressive simplicity and the Dead’s loose, psychedelic illustration style, so this series became a natural way to explore that intersection. Beyond the subject matter, the project pushed me to refine my illustration-to-digital workflow, translating sketchbook spontaneity into clean, flexible design assets - while keeping the process playful and experimental. At its core, it’s about sharpening my craft without losing the joy that made me start designing in the first place.

Juice Box - Logo + Merchandise Design - 2025

This project focused on building a visual identity that could translate seamlessly from concept to physical merchandise. The process was highly collaborative, with ongoing back and forth conversations centered on design expression, tone, and how each idea would ultimately live in the real world.

Each design was developed with application in mind, considering how it would function across hats, stickers, and t shirts. Attention was given to scale, placement, and material so the graphics felt intentional rather than purely decorative.

Alongside the main merchandise offerings, I also explored more experimental concepts for band only exclusives, including graphics inspired by classic Grateful Dead era aesthetics. These non sale pieces allowed space for creative experimentation while strengthening the band’s internal visual language.

American Colors by Henry Lehr - Web Store Rehaul - 2025

The project also included a full webstore rehaul, with an emphasis on creating a cohesive brand experience from the moment a visitor lands on the site. A curated video landing page was developed to immediately set the tone and establish an aesthetic brand vision before users engage with individual products.

To support this, flat lay photoshoots were planned and executed on tight deadlines, ensuring visual consistency across all product imagery, banners, and supporting assets. This structured approach allowed the webstore to feel intentional, unified, and easy to navigate, while reinforcing the overall identity of the brand. Little Gem Cafe - Logo Design - 2025

This logo design project for Little Gem Cafe in Vero Beach, Florida was a collaborative and rewarding process, with plenty of back and forth that made it both fun and educational. Coming fresh out of post grad work, the project offered an opportunity to refine proper presentation techniques, clearly communicating design decisions and adapting concepts based on client feedback. Seeing the final logo brought to life and physically printed on the building was especially fulfilling, reinforcing the importance of thoughtful design translation from screen to real world application.

Old Stud Handmade - Brand Design - 2026

This social media graphics project for Old Stud Handmade focused on reactivating a dormant brand by reconnecting it with its original roots and values. The process was collaborative and exploratory, centered on defining a clear visual aesthetic that could guide the brand moving forward. Through thoughtfully designed email layouts and product focused social media graphics, a consistent visual language was established to support future content and communication.

The project helped provide Old Stud Handmade with a flexible creative framework that balanced authenticity with clarity, giving the brand a refreshed presence without losing its original character.

University of Maine Marketing Department - 2024

This project for the University of Maine Marketing and Communications Department involved designing a set of graphic sticker elements for educational information packets distributed to high schools nationwide. The visuals were inspired by Maine’s outdoor culture and natural landscape, incorporating references to the state’s environment and sense of place while remaining aligned with the university’s brand standards. Each sticker was designed to feel approachable and versatile, adding warmth and character to information heavy materials.

The final set helped convey both school pride and the spirit of Maine, making the packets more engaging for prospective students across a national audience.

Puma Apparel / Graphics Study - 2026

This Puma apparel graphic study explored my personal design process through research and reinterpretation of archival advertisements from the athletics world. The project centered on studying heritage driven visuals, typography, and messaging from historical sports marketing, then translating those references into contemporary apparel graphics. It was a fun and insightful way to learn how legacy brands tell stories over time, while finding space to apply my own perspective and visual voice. The study reflects an interest in honoring brand history while reimagining it through a modern design lens.

'Tuxedo' Digital Typeface - 2026

Tuxedo is a hand-drawn typeface inspired by the bold geometry of 1950s Art Deco, reinterpreted through a deliberately messy, expressive lens. Created as a learning project, it helped me understand the structure and mechanics of type design while pushing beyond clean precision. The process also allowed me to integrate my own illustration style into a functional font—resulting in a character set that feels both nostalgic and personal, imperfect but intentional.
